Richard holds a Masters in Law from Uganda Christian University, a Bachelors of Laws Degree from Makerere University, Kampala, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Center, Kampala and he is also an Admitted Associate, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Richard is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, ICSA, Richard has also attended several trainings in Natural Resources and Oil and Gas Contracting and Management conducted by inter alia The International Law Institute – African Centre for Legal Excellence (ILI – ACLE) and Quest Energy. He is a Commissioner for Oaths, was admitted to the bar in 1997

• Richard specializes in commercial litigation, rendering advisory services in the legal aspects of business, taxation matters and company secretarial services. Richard has over the years rendered advice and legal opinions to both international and local clients in diverse aspects of corporate and commercial laws, relating to securities, global custody of securities and capital markets, as correspondent Counsel for BAKER & MCKENZIE.• Richard has been engaged in litigation at the High Court and Appellate Courts in Uganda in some cases that have enriched the jurisprudence in Uganda. He has also had exposure at International Courts like the COMESA COURT OF JUSTICE.rn• Richard has taken interest in Uganda’s budding Oil and Gas Sector and is currently doing research in certain aspects of the Sector.rn• Richard is an external examiner at the Law Development Centre and also Faculty at the IDI- 4 CLE-ICSA Programme.
